By using Kairos you agree to these terms. They are written plainly on purpose.
Kairos helps you plan, run, and record ERP exposures, and shows how your distress changes over time.
The exercises themselves are generic examples written in advance, not a plan prepared for you. Which of them the app shows you is based on your quiz answers, and some themes are withheld or carry a note advising specialist support. That is content selection, not a clinical judgement about you, and no part of it is a diagnosis.
Kairos has not been reviewed or approved by any regulator. It is a tool for practising a method, not a substitute for assessment or treatment by a clinician.
When you first open Kairos you are shown a short screen setting out what it is, what it is not, and where to go in a crisis. You can read it again at any time from Profile.
Kairos requires an account, so that your history survives a lost or replaced phone. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for activity under your account, and you should tell us if you think it has been compromised.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete your account. That removes your account and every record attached to it, from your device and from our database. It cannot be undone. You can also email us and we will do it for you.
The exposures you write and the entries you log are yours. You keep ownership of them. We store them only to provide the app to you, as described in the Privacy Policy, and we do not publish, sell, or use them to train models.
Do not use Kairos to break the law, to attack or overload the service, to attempt access to anyone else's account, or to reverse-engineer it for those purposes.
Kairos is provided as-is and free of charge. We do not guarantee it will be available without interruption or free of defects. Features may change or be removed. The app's core exercise and logging functions work offline; syncing requires a connection.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Kairos. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date above and noted in the app. Continuing to use Kairos after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
